GOVERNANCE / CAPABILITIES / project proposal

Services are a design question—not an offer.

The proposal asks what shared civic capabilities a voluntary, borderless community might need. This page describes areas to explore; Lebanon 3.0 is not currently providing governance or civic services.

Current status

NEXUS is in development and its citizen portal is an early prototype. No identity, voting, credential, financial, legal, or other public service is offered through this website.

01

Participation and decisions

Proposal area

Explore how people might contribute to shared decisions, understand decision rules, and challenge outcomes. NEXUS contains an early democracy interface; public voting is not available.

02

Identity and credentials

Prototype screens

Study whether people can prove specific claims without exposing unnecessary personal data. The portal code includes identity and credential interfaces, not an operating identity service.

03

Coordination across communities

Open question

Consider how voluntary groups could coordinate work and responsibilities across locations without claiming authority over people who have not opted in.

04

Accountability and recourse

Requirements to define

Any future system would need understandable rules, independent scrutiny, privacy safeguards, and ways to appeal or exit. These protections are not yet established services.
